Spotted Gum House
On the land of the Garigal people.
Set
below a stand of spotted gums looking across Pittwater. This project is
the renovation of a small cottage to engage with the land on one side
and the water on the other. The cottage is conceived as a stop on the
journey through the trees to the beach.
A hardwood framed clerestory reaches up into the trees to drag light into the centre of the house and mark out the path through the site.
